Welcome to GloryWalks!

GloryWalks is a non-profit company which provides wellbeing walks and activities to asylum seekers, refugees, survivors of modern slavery and others across the North West and Yorkshire.

We believe that a day out in the hills or at the beach, some exercise, a good packed lunch and light interaction with others on a similar journey, is a fantastic way to de-stress and enjoy some much needed timeout, particularly for those struggling with mental health.

Our aim is to provide a relaxed and fun environment where all our clients feel comfortable and safe to interact with others, whilst also feeling heard and valued.

Clients can be signed up via our referral system which is available to services and organisations interested in supporting their local international community.

About the Walks

We walk in small groups, as we recognise that for many it can feel too overwhelming to meet in large groups in an unfamiliar setting.

All our clients receive a backpack, breakfast snacks, packed lunch and hot drinks on the day, plus a waterproof mac when necessary. We also provide a wellbeing gift at the end of each trip.

Clients are picked up and dropped off from their local area, and trip locations are within a 1.5 hour radius of pick up.

Our most popular locations include Malham Cove in North Yorkshire, Wirral Way coastal walks, Delamere Forest and Aber Falls in North Wales.

We are fully insured and all staff DBS checked, and walk leaders are Emergency First Aid trained. We are also passionate, motivated and experienced working with international clients within a wellbeing capacity.
